Bras and Panties; Styles and Filling &Tucking

I don't know why I felt like talking about this topic.
I did decide to do a topic of the kinds of bras and panties available.
Hopefully, I can help other people save time and money.

I am a big fan of actually having straps. To me, there has to be support. Even when my boobs were literally nothing more than mosquito bites and had to use several pads to assimilate having boobs, I was still fond of the straps. Many people use different things to fill in the bra. I don't want to talk much about the fillers since I know so many people have already done this. There are different kinds you buy; silicone, foam and ones that you pump up. I liked the foam ones better. They are available for push up, enhancing and shaping. They also work in swimsuits. The silicone ones make me sweat and kept dropping. The pump up ones did not hold their shape and kept deflating.

For any male to female transgender (or cross-dresser), I advise starting with padded and take advantage of the that you don't have to buy as many pads (or other fillers) to fill them in. They are great for once you start to develop as well because they will add a little shaping to your boobs. You may still want to get shaping pads, it is up to you.

For those who are using pads and fillers, you definitely want something with straps. The strapless forms do not hold up the pads and fillers; you chance dropping them in public. Once you develop boobs the strapless bras are great for making your boobs look fuller. Some of the bandeau style, for example, do come with push-up pads but do not give as much of a full look as a sports bra because they are intended to to be tight. Some clothing like strapless dresses are best with strapless bras. So if haven't developed boobs yet, your best bet is to find a dress that offers a shelf or good support to help assist with your pads and fillers.

Non-wired bras will hold up pads and fillers. Pick what you are more comfortable with with it comes to the wire. The wire usually ends up poking through the material and can become a nuisance. When a wire does break through the material of your bra, it will poke you, could make you itchy and/or rash out and will fall out in the washer/dryer. When this happens, I throw the wires out and continue using it as a non-wired.

The big thing about bras is figuring out what works for you. When you are first starting to use bras, you may want to stay away from razorback. They can be very uncomfortable to a new user. I, personally, do not like them that much Front clasp bras are great for those who have troubles reaching around, however, can be very uncomfortable. If you are of a small body stature, you make want to consider training bras that are molded because they give an appearance of boobs without pads and fillers.

Panties can also be a problem. I, personally, like my thongs and g-strings. The problem with this is the package doesn't always fit or stay. The trick is to buy a size larger to have more room; if you size up to a medium than buy large thongs. Another problem is hiding/tucking your package; it's most likely not happening. If you want to wear a thong out in public but want to hide your package, buy tanga. It is the closest you will get, the happy in between.

For good tucking, you want classic briefs, hipster or bikini. I do not tie it down or duct tape it. A good trick that I don't hear about is using a maxi pad. This adds extra support to hold it between your legs so you have to worry about becoming noticeable or the have the pain of tying it. This trick doesn't work in all panties. Classic briefs, hipster, bikini, high-cut and some boyshorts do work with this trick.

Pointers about using pads:

  • DO NOT ever use a maxi pad on lace. The sticky part will tear the lace and put holes in your panties.
  • If incontinence pads are on sale and you can save money, go for it. They work just as good.
  • Pads with wings is optional. It is a matter of whether or not you like them.
  • If you like your underwear tight, you may want try pantie liners instead of maxi pads. Tight panties and maxi pads can squeeze you too much. Pantie liners and loose panties don't work well.
  • After peeing, everyone drips a little, the pads help to keep the smell at bay. Remember to change the pads. Don't be cheap and reuse them until there are nasty or falling apart. You can reuse them if you only use them to go the store for ten minutes, just don't over use them.

Don't be afraid to experiment with sizes. I have found that several sizes in the kids sections do fit me. If you want Tinkerbell, Hello Kitty, Princess, etc., you may want to consider finding kids sizes. Adults sizes don't always offer characters or certain designs that you would like and if they do the price is much higher. Do not worry about the social norm and what people would think. Wear what you like, what fits you and what saves you money.

Don't be afraid to buy used undergarments or any clothes for that matter. Especially, if you are still trying to find your sizes. Have different styles for different occasions and plan for now as well as after you grow boobs and have your operation. I have some underwear that I love but can't wear until after the surgery. I have bras that are bigger than I wear just in case my boobs grow a lot bigger than they are now.
